It is our great pleasure to announce that Prof. Dr. Sandeep Purao will be visiting the IDEAS Lab and Høyskolen Kristiania on the 25th of August. Sandeep also will deliver a Keynote speech at our Master of Science in IS and HCI Induction days.
The keynote title is "Reconceptualizing fake news”.

Prof. Dr. Sandeep Purao is a Trustee Professor in the Information and Process Management Group and Associate Director of the Hoffman Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University. He is also a Visiting Professor at Agder University in Norway. His current research focuses on the design and evaluation of digital solutions for complex societal problems and the foundations of the sciences of design. His work has been published in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of MIS, ACM Computing Surveys, Communications of the ACM, ACM Transactions on Social Computing, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Big Data Research, Journal of the Medical Internet Research, Computer-supported Cooperative Work, International Journal of Public Health, and Journal of American Medical Informatics Association. He has served on editorial boards of MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Journal of the AIS. His research has been funded by federal agencies, private foundations, and industry consortia. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has prior background in Accounting, Management and Law.
